In Janakpur, 56 people were rescued by the Nepali Army after a swing collapsed at the Dashami fair. The incident occurred on Friday night in the courtyard of the Mata Rajdevi Temple, where the swing broke while people were riding it.
Under the leadership of the Nepali Army, along with other security agencies, all trapped individuals were safely rescued. The Dashami fair in this area of Janakpurdham is usually organized by local groups including the Mahavir Yuva Yuva Committee and Shri Ram Yuva Committee.
According to the Nepali Army, a joint team of the army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police, with the assistance of JCBs and cranes from various agencies, successfully rescued all those trapped.
