
Two people died and four others were injured after two motorcycles collided in Bara on Friday evening. The accident occurred at around 7:40 p.m. on the Kalaiya–Bariyarpur road section near Bhagawan, Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-14, when a motorcycle (Province 2–03–016 P 473) carrying four people and an Indian motorcycle (BR 05 S 9092) carrying two people crashed into each other.
Among the six injured, two succumbed to their injuries during treatment on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as 37-year-old Juhi Sah of Simraungadh Municipality-11, Kachorwa, who was on the Indian motorcycle, and 18-year-old Samshad Alam Dewan of Mahagadhimai Municipality-1, who was on the other motorcycle. According to Inspector Khem Nepal of the Bara District Police Office, Juhi died at LS Neuro Hospital in Nautan at around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Samshad died at the same hospital at around 2:00 a.m. the same day.
The injured include Juhi’s husband, 38-year-old Kishori Sah, their two sons—13-year-old Kaushal Sah and 12-year-old Krishna Sah—who were all on the Indian motorcycle, and 18-year-old Aftab Alam of Mahagadhimai-1, who was on the other motorcycle. Kishori is undergoing treatment at Kalaiya Hospital, while Kaushal, Krishna, and Aftab are being treated at the National Medical College in Birgunj. Aftab’s condition is reported to be critical.
