Another complaint has been lodged against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah and Hami Nepal founder Sudan Gurung.
Yuvaraj Paudel (Saphal) filed the complaint through postal service on Wednesday to the Kathmandu District Police Range, which, according to sources, has already received it.
The complaint seeks an investigation under Section 50(1) of the Criminal Code, 2074, which pertains to offenses related to treason.
Earlier, on Tuesday, another group led by Samik Badal, former president of the UML-affiliated student organization ANNFSU, had personally submitted a complaint to the police against Mayor Balen and Sudan Gurung.
So far, neither of the complaints has been officially registered. Police reportedly told the ANNFSU team that a decision would be made within 24 hours after consulting with the government attorney. Meanwhile, Paudel expressed confidence that his complaint, sent via post, would be registered by Thursday.
However, sources indicate that the police are preparing to forward both complaints to the investigation commission led by former Justice Gauri Bahadur Karki, which was formed to probe the GenZ movement incidents.
