Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the party’s office bearers today. The meeting is scheduled to be held at 1 PM at a hotel in Lalitpur. However, the agenda of the meeting has not been made public.
According to party leaders, the meeting will mainly discuss the agenda for the upcoming Central Committee meeting scheduled for Ashoj 26 (October 12, 2025). This is the first formal meeting of the office bearers called by Deuba since the Gen Z youth movement held on Bhadra 23 and 24.
During the second day of the two-day Gen Z protest (Bhadra 24), Deuba and his wife, Arzu Rana, were assaulted at their residence in Budhanilkantha. Following the arson attack that destroyed their home, the couple has been staying in Lalitpur, though their current residence has not been disclosed.
