Police have arrested two individuals, including Dr. Nicholas Bhusal, for attempting to hold a protest at Maitighar. According to Kathmandu District Police, the detainees are currently being held at the District Police Office, Kathmandu.
The arrests took place after the individuals reached Maitighar to protest despite the Kathmandu District Administration Office not granting permission for any demonstrations.
Following plans by various Gen-Z groups to stage a protest, police tightened security in the Maitighar and New Baneshwor areas, deploying a large number of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel.
