
The secretariat meeting of the CPN–UML has begun at party chair KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Balkot, Gwarko this afternoon. The meeting will discuss the agenda for the upcoming central committee meeting, party organization strengthening, and issues related to the restoration of the dissolved parliament, among others.
The UML has scheduled its central committee meeting from Ashoj 26 to 29. The secretariat meeting will also finalize the party’s official position for the all-party meeting called by President Ramchandra Paudel.
The UML has been demanding the reinstatement of parliament, stating that the dissolution was unconstitutional. The party has said it will coordinate with the Nepali Congress to move the process forward. The Nepali Congress, too, has maintained that the dissolution of parliament was against the constitution.
