The BP Highway, which was damaged by floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall on October 3, 4, and 5 (Ashoj 17, 18, and 19), has reopened from Friday.
In various sections of Kavre and Sindhuli districts, around 4 kilometers of the highway were damaged. The highway has now been partially reopened with an alternative temporary track from Friday afternoon.
Although it is currently open for one-way traffic, officials have stated that two-way traffic will resume from Sunday. The BP Highway has thus come back into operation five days after being closed due to the disaster.
