
A car and a train collided at Thapachowk, Janakpur, while the car was attempting to cross the railway track. The incident involved a car with registration number Bagmati Province 01–25 Cha 1290 and a train traveling from Bhangaha towards Janakpur.
According to District Police Office Dhanusha Chief, SP Narahari Regmi, preliminary information suggests that the car, heading from Thapachowk towards Janaki Temple, tried to cross the track and got stuck on the railway line. At that moment, a train with registration number 178315, coming from the west, struck the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 22-year-old Lalit Yadav, son of Shivsagar Yadav from Laxminiya Rural Municipality–6, Dhanusha, sustained minor injuries. He is receiving treatment at Hira Hospital, Janakpur, and is reported to be in stable condition. No fatalities were reported in the accident.
