The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal) has begun its first unity convention of the Koshi Province Committee from today.
The party, which has been advocating for naming provinces based on identity, has referred to the event as the Province No. 1 Committee Convention instead of the Koshi Province Convention.
The convention is being held at the Marwari Sewa Samiti Hall in Biratnagar, and will be inaugurated by JSP Chairperson Upendra Yadav, according to party sources. The province committee has scheduled the inaugural and open sessions for October 12 and 13 (Ashoj 26 and 27).
Similarly, JSP Nepal’s Madhes Province Committee Convention will begin tomorrow (Monday) in Janakpurdham, which will also be inaugurated by Chairperson Upendra Yadav, the party’s publicity department stated.
