CPN-UML’s Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali has announced that the party’s 11th General Convention will be held in the last week of Mangsir.
According to Gyawali, Sunday’s Secretariat meeting decided to hold the convention during that period, while the exact date and venue will be finalized by the party’s Central Committee meeting.
He stated, “The Secretariat meeting of CPN-UML made four important decisions. The party’s 11th General Convention will take place in the last week of Mangsir. The exact date and location will be decided by the Central Committee.”
Gyawali further informed that the meeting deemed the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly as unconstitutional and undemocratic, demanding its reinstatement. “The meeting has concluded that the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly is unconstitutional and undemocratic. Therefore, we clearly demand that the dissolved assembly be reinstated,” he said.
Deputy General Secretary Gyawali also criticized the government, claiming it is walking the path of prohibition and revenge rather than preparing for elections.
