The CPN (Maoist Centre) has formed a ‘Gen-Z Red Task Force’, led by Smriti Timilsina, a central member of the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary).
According to Timilsina, the task force was established by Gen-Z members affiliated with the Maoist Centre to protect the party from leaders who have tried to dominate it for years. She stated that the task force was formed in response to the growing trend of individualism within the party, which has reached “an extreme level.”
Timilsina shared that coordinators have already been appointed in 40 districts, and the task force will soon be expanded to the remaining districts as well.
The task force will focus on ending misconceptions such as the claim that “17,000 people were killed by the Maoists,” establishing Red Task Posts in villages, and restructuring the party organization, Timilsina said.
She further added that the task force supports running the party under Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s leadership for one more term, after which the current top leadership should step down to make way for new leaders.
