
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by double digits on Wednesday, dropping 22.58 points to close at 2,505 points.
A total of 40 companies saw their share prices rise, while 206 companies experienced a decline. The total transaction amount for the day stood at over NPR 3.10 billion.
Nepal Reinsurance Company recorded the highest trading value, with shares worth NPR 205.4 million exchanged. It was followed by Himalayan Reinsurance, which saw transactions worth NPR 134.9 million.
Among the top gainers, investors in Samata Domestic Microfinance Financial Institution earned the most, with the company’s share price increasing by 6.93%.
On the other hand, investors in Samaj Microfinance and Bindhyabasini Hydropower faced the biggest losses, as both companies’ share prices fell by 10%.
