National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has departed for Geneva, Switzerland, today to participate in the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The delegation includes National Assembly members Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami and Madan Kumari Shah (Garima).
According to a statement issued by Ekram Giri, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Chair Dahal will address the Assembly on behalf of Nepal. He is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with heads of parliaments from various countries.
The 151st IPU Assembly will be held in Geneva from Kartik 2 to 6 (October 18–22). Members of the delegation will also take part in meetings of the Standing Committees of the IPU.
The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on Kartik 9 (October 25), the Secretariat informed.
