
Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to conducting elections in a free, fair, and fear-free environment. Speaking during a discussion held at Sheetal Niwas at the invitation of President Ram Chandra Paudel, Karki assured that elections would be held on the pre-scheduled date without delay.
Prime Minister Karki urged all four security agencies to maintain full preparedness for the elections. She emphasized that the government is committed to providing all necessary resources and support required by the security bodies to ensure smooth election security management.
The chiefs of the security agencies expressed confidence in their ability to maintain peace and security during the election period. They recalled that they had successfully conducted elections even in more challenging circumstances in the past and assured full readiness for the upcoming polls.
According to sources at Sheetal Niwas, the meeting was attended by President Paudel, all ministers except the Finance Minister, Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel, Inspector General of Nepal Police Chandra Kuber Khapung, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, and Chief of the National Investigation Department Tekendra Karki.
