A man from Sarlahi was found dead in the Gaushala Market area of Ward No. 5, Gaushala Municipality, Mahottari.
Police identified the deceased as Ramanand Baitha, around 30 years old, from Ward No. 9, Haripurwa Municipality, Sarlahi.
Locals reported seeing him unconscious in the market and immediately informed the police.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Baitha had a history of substance abuse and health issues. However, authorities have stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after a post-mortem examination.
DSP Shailendra Kumar Bhatt, spokesperson for the Mahottari District Police Office, confirmed that the deceased’s family has been notified and necessary legal procedures are underway.
