The weather across the country is currently influenced by a western disturbance along with a low-pressure system formed over the Arabian Sea.
This afternoon, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the plains (Terai) will experience partly cloudy skies. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of all provinces.
Similarly, tonight the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the plains are expected to see partly cloudy conditions. The weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department states that there is a possibility of moderate rain or snowfall at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, and at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini province and other areas.
