Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the need to strengthen mutual respect, social harmony, and cooperation among forces that advocate for progressive change.
Extending best wishes to Nepalis at home and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Festival, Prachanda said, “By strengthening mutual respect, social harmony, and the spirit of cooperation among the pro-change forces, I believe we can move forward together toward building a prosperous, just, and socialist Nepal.”
He stated that in the current challenging political, economic, and social situation, the message of inner strength, patience, and optimism conveyed by Chhath has become even more relevant. He added, “May the Chhath festival dispel darkness within human hearts and fill everyone with purity, light, and positive energy. I sincerely hope this festival ushers in a new dawn of peace, prosperity, and stability in the country.”
Prachanda also highlighted that Chhath, celebrated mainly in the Madhes-Terai region, is deeply connected with Nepali culture, tradition, labor, and everyday life. The festival, he said, strengthens the relationship between humans and nature, promoting coexistence, balance, and spiritual purification.
