Acting President of the Nepali Congress Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that the Chhath festival plays an important role in strengthening national unity, social harmony, and building a prosperous society.
In a message issued today on the occasion of Chhath, Khadka stated that the festival has a significant contribution in promoting collective spirit, discipline, family unity, and social harmony.
“Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural, and multi-religious country. The diverse festivals celebrated here bind us together in a thread of mutual harmony, tolerance, and national unity. These festivals not only strengthen social relations but also contribute to national identity and the building of a prosperous society,” his message reads.
Expressing sincere wishes, Khadka said he hopes that the Chhath festival brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to every household and inspires the promotion of social harmony. He extended best wishes for the happiness, peace, success, and prosperity of all Nepalis living in the country and abroad on this auspicious occasion.
