Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kul Man Ghising, has departed for India. He left on Monday to participate in the eighth assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
The assembly, which will run until the 13th in New Delhi, will be attended by energy ministers from more than 40 countries.
Minister Ghising will represent Nepal in the high-level discussions among energy ministers and delegates from ISA member nations. The assembly will focus on topics such as solar energy promotion, expansion of sustainable energy supply, initiatives to mitigate climate change, and opportunities for cooperation.
Nepal is participating in the assembly with a commitment to expand the use of solar energy for sustainable energy development and to enhance access to clean energy through international cooperation.
Minister Ghising is scheduled to address a thematic session of the assembly, where he will speak on regional and global interconnectedness for large-scale clean energy transformation.
