Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that youth are not only the leaders of the future but also a vital force in building the nation at present.
In his message on the occasion of International Youth Day, Prachanda stated that the energy, creativity, scientific thinking, and desire for change among young people form the foundation for building a prosperous and socialist Nepal.
He noted, “In the context of addressing global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals while preparing for the future, this year’s theme has been set by embracing youth initiative. I believe Nepali youth will stand for a prosperous Nepal with social justice.”
Reflecting on his own youth, Prachanda added, “I had the opportunity to lead the party from the position of youth organization president to its highest leadership. By leading the historic People’s War, and through the blood, sweat, and sacrifices of thousands of youth, we succeeded in uprooting feudalism and establishing a federal democratic republic. The sacrifices we led not only brought political change but also secured historic achievements in ensuring the rights of marginalized communities.”
