A total of 33 people were injured in a road accident at Tikauli Jungle, Bharatpur Metropolitan City–9, when a bus traveling from Gaur to Kathmandu met with an accident.
The incident occurred when two passenger buses collided with a parked truck loaded with bricks in the Tikauli Jungle area. The parked truck, bearing registration number Na 6 Kha 813, was hit by a Dolphin bus (Ba. Pra. 0300 Kha 0123) traveling from Gaur to Kathmandu, followed by another Rudraksha bus (Ba. Pra. 0300 Kha 3902) coming from Janakpur to Kathmandu that also collided.
Immediately after the accident, a team from the Armed Police Force, Nepal No. 17 Battalion, Ampatari, Chitwan, rescued the injured and transported them to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Among the injured, 15 are being treated at Chitwan Medical College, 13 at National City Hospital, and 5 at Bharatpur Hospital. The highway, which was briefly blocked after the incident, has now been reopened for traffic.
