Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one U.S. dollar has been fixed at Rs. 141.73, while the selling rate is Rs. 142.33.
Similarly, the euro is valued at Rs. 164.00 (buying) and Rs. 164.69 (selling), the British pound sterling at Rs. 186.19 (buying) and Rs. 186.98 (selling), and the Swiss franc at Rs. 176.63 (buying) and Rs. 177.38 (selling).
The Australian dollar is set at Rs. 92.75 (buying) and Rs. 93.14 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs. 101.15 (buying) and Rs. 101.58 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs. 108.97 (buying) and Rs. 109.43 (selling).
For Asian currencies, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) stands at Rs. 9.20 (buying) and Rs. 9.24 (selling); the Chinese yuan at Rs. 19.92 (buying) and Rs. 20.01 (selling); the Saudi riyal at Rs. 37.79 (buying) and Rs. 37.95 (selling); and the Qatari riyal at Rs. 38.88 (buying) and Rs. 39.05 (selling).
Likewise, the Thai baht is valued at Rs. 4.39 (buying) and Rs. 4.41 (selling); the UAE dirham at Rs. 38.59 (buying) and Rs. 38.75 (selling); the Malaysian ringgit at Rs. 33.84 (buying) and Rs. 33.99 (selling); the South Korean won (per 100 units) at Rs. 9.93 (buying) and Rs. 9.97 (selling); the Swedish krona at Rs. 15.00 (buying) and Rs. 15.06 (selling); and the Danish krone at Rs. 21.96 (buying) and Rs. 22.05 (selling).
Among other major currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is priced at Rs. 18.24 (buying) and Rs. 18.32 (selling); the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs. 461.83 (buying) and Rs. 463.78 (selling); the Bahraini dinar at Rs. 375.97 (buying) and Rs. 377.56 (selling); and the Omani rial at Rs. 368.12 (buying) and Rs. 369.67 (selling).
The Indian rupee (per 100 units) has been fixed at Rs. 160.00 (buying) and Rs. 160.15 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision as needed. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
