Kathmandu, Nepal — The Youth Association close to the CPN-UML has filed a complaint against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah at the Cyber Bureau. Leaders of the association personally visited the bureau to lodge the complaint.
According to the association, Mayor Shah’s recent social media post contained derogatory remarks that defamed political parties, prompting them to take legal action. The Cyber Bureau confirmed that a complaint has been filed and is currently under the registration process.
Mayor Shah had posted a controversial status containing offensive language on the night of Kartik 16 (October 31), which he deleted shortly after posting.
