The Nepal National Football Team has been officially bid farewell ahead of their upcoming friendly match against Bangladesh and the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against Malaysia.
The farewell ceremony was held on Monday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, where Minister for Sports Bablu Gupta and ANFA officials extended best wishes to the team.
During the event, team captain Kiran Kumar Limbu said that the friendly match against Bangladesh would be crucial for improving player fitness ahead of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier.
He expressed confidence that Nepal would perform well in both matches despite the short training period. The captain also remarked that it was unfortunate for national players to have to protest for the resumption of the A Division League, urging all stakeholders to take the matter seriously for the betterment of Nepali football.
Nepal will play Bangladesh on November 13 in a friendly match and face Malaysia on November 18 in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.
