President Ram Chandra Paudel has dismissed Sumitra Subedi Bhandari, the Chief of Madhes Province, from her position.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the President’s Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Koirala, the decision was made based on the Cabinet’s recommendation from Kartik 24 (November 9, 2025).
The dismissal was carried out in accordance with Article 165 (1) (b) of the Constitution of Nepal, and it takes immediate effect from today.
