A 62-year-old woman, identified as Chandrakala Devi Das of Hanspur Municipality–7, Nauwakhore, has been brutally murdered with a sharp weapon in Dhanusha district.
According to DSP Ganesh Bam, spokesperson for Dhanusha Police, the victim’s body was found about 500 meters away from her house, lying in a field with deep injuries on her face and head inflicted by a sharp weapon.
Police reported that the gold and silver ornaments the victim was wearing were looted, but have since been recovered. The identity of the looter has not yet been disclosed.
One suspect has been arrested, and further investigation is underway, police said.
