The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has organized demonstrations across all 753 municipalities demanding the reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives.
According to the party, local leaders and cadres participated in protests and corner meetings held simultaneously across the country.
Rajendra Gautam, head of UML’s Central Department of Publicity and Publication, said the rallies were organized to defend the constitution and democracy.
He informed that ward-level gatherings had already been completed in all 6,743 wards on Kartik 22, while district-level demonstrations will be held on Kartik 29, followed by a nationwide mass rally in Kathmandu on Mangsir 6.
