The Nepal Communist Party and Bhim Rawal-led Matrubhumi Jagaran Abhiyan, Nepal are set to formally unite today in a grand party unification ceremony.
According to Prachanda’s Secretariat, the event will feature speeches from Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Bhim Rawal. The unity declaration program will begin at 2:00 PM today (Wednesday) at the Rastriya Sabha Griha, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu.
As per the agreement, Bhim Rawal will be placed next in seniority after Narayan Kaji Shrestha within the unified party structure.
Along with Rawal, former lawmaker Prakash Bahadur Shah will also join the Nepal Communist Party today.
Earlier, on Kartik 19, ten leftist groups, including the Maoist Centre and the Unified Socialist, had merged to form a broader left alliance.
