The meeting between the Election Commission and political parties has started. On Thursday, the Election Commission held discussions with representatives from various political parties at its central office.
Earlier, the Commission had also held talks with the parties regarding the preparations for the upcoming elections.
Thursday’s discussion included Chief Acting Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari, Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar, Sagoon Shamsher J.B. Rana, and representatives from major political parties such as Pushpa Bhusal from the Nepali Congress, Khagaraj Adhikari from the CPN-UML, and Lilamani Pokharel from the Nepal Communist Party, among others.
The interim government has announced that the House of Representatives election will be held on Fagun 21.
However, political parties have accused the government of failing to create a conducive environment for the election. The CPN-UML has already stated that it will approach the Supreme Court, advocating for the reinstatement of Parliament.
