The newly appointed Province Chief of Madhes, Surendra Labh Karn, officially assumed office on Thursday.
During the assumption ceremony, Karn stated that he is well aware of the issues facing the Madhes region and emphasized the need for coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders to build a stronger and more prosperous Madhes.
Karn was appointed as the Province Chief of Madhes by President Ram Chandra Paudel on the recommendation of the federal government. He had taken the oath of office and secrecy from the President on Tuesday.
