Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife, Arzu Rana Deuba, returned to Nepal from Singapore on Friday.
The Deuba couple had flown to Singapore on Kartik 10 for further treatment after being seriously injured during the Gen-Z movement.
On the second day of the Gen-Z protests (Bhadra 24), the couple was assaulted at their residence in Budhanilkantha. Following the incident, they were treated at the Military Hospital in Chhauni.
After the Gen-Z incident, Deuba had not appeared publicly until Asoj 28, when he was seen at the party’s central office.
During that meeting, Deuba assigned Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka as the Acting President of the party.
