Madhes Province’s newly appointed Chief Minister, Saroj Kumar Yadav, has called on the Madhes-based political parties protesting against him to come to the negotiation table.
In his address to the residents of the province today, CM Yadav stressed that all issues must be resolved through dialogue, discussion, and consensus. He urged the agitating groups to end their protests and move forward with cooperation and coordination.
Expressing concern that tensions among the protesting Madhesi parties could escalate into clashes, he emphasized the urgency of resolving the current political crisis through peaceful dialogue.
CM Yadav also mentioned that both he and other constitutional officials currently face security risks. He reiterated that dialogue is the best alternative for resolving disputes.
Stating that the protesting Madhesi parties lack a clear agenda, Yadav suggested that they should file a case in the Supreme Court if they have objections to his appointment and follow the legal process.
Although he is under the protection of the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police, he said the aggressive behavior of protesters has pushed the situation toward confrontation. He appealed to all to end the agitation and engage in talks.
Commenting on the fall of former Chief Minister Jitendra Sonal’s government, Yadav claimed it collapsed due to internal interests among Sonal’s own coalition partners. He reaffirmed his commitment to accepting any Supreme Court verdict and stated that he firmly stands in favor of the Constitution and federalism.
