Two people riding on a motorcycle died after the vehicle lost control and crashed near the Bungdol Khola bridge area in Bhimphedi, Makwanpur.
The motorcycle, bearing registration number Bagmati Province–03–005P 7980, met with the accident early this morning near the border of Makwanpurgadhi–5 and Bhimphedi–1.
According to photos and details shared by locals, the motorcycle appears to have fallen from the bridge down into the stream below. The steep terrain made the area difficult to access, but locals climbed down into the ravine to assist with rescue efforts. Both riders were found dead at the scene.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Subash Chandra Bohora of the Makwanpur District Police Office said that preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to loss of control.
He said, “The motorcycle accident at the Bungdol Khola bridge area has been confirmed. Both individuals have died. Further details are being collected.”
A police team has been deployed to the site, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased and determine the exact cause of the accident.
