Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan scored half-centuries as Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the third and final ODI.
With this win, the home team completed a 3–0 series clean sweep. Chasing a target of 212 runs set by Sri Lanka, Pakistan reached 214/4 in 44.4 overs.
Pakistan had a poor start, losing opener Haseebullah Khan for a duck with the score at 8–1. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman then stabilized the innings with a 74-run partnership. Fakhar scored 55 runs.
After Babar was dismissed for 34, Pakistan came under slight pressure. However, Rizwan and Hussain Talat guided the team comfortably. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 61, while Talat stayed not out on 42 to secure the victory.
Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 211 runs in 45.2 overs. Pathum Nissanka, Kamil Mishara, and Kusal Mendis provided a modest start.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Wasim Jr. took 3 wickets, while Faisal Akram and Haris Rauf picked up 2 wickets each.
Sri Lanka’s batting struggled overall, with Sadeera Samarawickrama top-scoring with 48 runs. Pakistan’s strong performance with both bat and ball ensured an easy series clean sweep.
