A few days after resigning from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Santosh Pariyar shared a late-night Facebook status expressing his determination to continue fighting for people’s justice. He stated that he would not back down, even if he had to face accusations of being “crazy.” “I may be alone. I may be labeled crazy. I may be proven unsuccessful. But I will continue to fight for people,” he wrote.
Pariyar, who left the party on Kartik 28, signed a five-point agreement the same day with the Nepal Samajwadi Party (Naya Shakti) and the Progressive National Campaign. Following his exit, he has faced various criticisms and comments from different sides.
The former RSP Secretariat member wrote in his resignation letter that he considered it his own weakness that he could not establish the ideas he continuously advocated within the party. He also expressed disappointment at not being able to develop a political ideology suitable to Nepal’s unique social structure and character.
Pariyar’s recent public declaration of commitment has drawn further attention to his future political path and role.
