In the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Kathmandu Gorkhas will take on Sudurpaschim Royals today. Kathmandu is aiming for their second consecutive win, while Sudurpaschim will look to start their campaign with a strong performance. Kathmandu had defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts in the opening match.
Kathmandu Gorkhas are led by Karan KC. Sudurpaschim Royals are captained by national team vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airee. The team consists of Binod Bhandari (wicketkeeper), Avinash Bohara, Deepak Bohara (wicketkeeper), Milan Bohara, Josh Brown, Hemant Dhami, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat (wicketkeeper), Naren Saud, Harmit Singh, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Thapa (wicketkeeper), and Himmat Mahara.
Kathmandu are coached by former national team coach Monty Desai, while Sudurpaschim’s coach is Jagat Tamata.
The tournament, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), started on Mangsir 1 with eight teams participating.
Kathmandu enters today’s match with one win, while Sudurpaschim will be playing their first game of the league.
