CG Group has contributed more than NPR 28 billion in taxes over the past year. According to the Group’s Managing Director Nirvana Chaudhary, the group paid NPR 28.59 billion in taxes during the last fiscal year.
Chaudhary stated that this contribution accounted for approximately 2.3% of the total national revenue, and he expressed pride in helping strengthen the country’s treasury despite various challenges.
During a meeting with Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal, the group highlighted its contribution to Nepal’s tax system. Chaudhary shared on social media, “Although there is no formal system to publicly recognize the unified tax contribution of a group of companies, I am grateful that the Honorable Finance Minister specially acknowledged CG Group’s tax contribution. Last year, CG paid NPR 25.59 billion in taxes, contributing about 2.35% of the nation’s total revenue. I feel proud to have strengthened the country’s treasury even amidst challenges.”
While there is no formal arrangement to honor the collective tax payments of corporate groups, the Finance Minister highlighted CG Group’s contribution as significant.
