A curfew has been imposed in Bara after Gen-Z protesters demonstrated against UML leader Mahesh Basnet.
According to Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra, the curfew will be in effect from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Under Sections 6(a) and 6(b) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, the administration has designated four areas within Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City where the curfew applies.
During the curfew, no one is allowed to move around, gather, hold demonstrations, processions, meetings, or any form of assembly within:
- 500 meters along both sides of the Gandak Canal to Pathlaiya road section of the highway, and
- 500 meters around Simara Airport.
The curfew aims to maintain law and order following the protest-related tensions in the area.
