With the activation of a nationwide rain-bearing system, heavy rainfall is occurring in many areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
The department stated that the rain-bearing system, which became active from the east last night and has been spreading, is expected to bring continuous heavy rain to many parts of the country tonight.
Tonight, there is a possibility of continuous heavy rainfall in the hilly regions of Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Similarly, the department has projected heavy rainfall in the hilly regions of Karnali Province, with one or two places in the province expected to experience heavy downpours.
