Janata Dal (United) [JDU] leader Nitish Kumar is set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time on Thursday. On Wednesday, he was elected as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislative party.
With this selection, Kumar is now poised to become Bihar’s Chief Minister once again. His swearing-in ceremony will take place at 11:30 AM on Thursday at Gandhi Maidan, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend.
This time, Nitish Kumar has allotted ministerial positions to all coalition partners within the NDA. Nitish Kumar first became Chief Minister briefly in 2000, and then served continuously from 2005 to 2014, and again from 2015 to the present.
