Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) spectators will now have access to free bus services within the Kathmandu Valley. Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), with the initiative of Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta, has arranged the service to help spectators—especially women, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals—return home safely after matches.
The free buses will operate from 6 PM to 8 PM for those watching matches at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. CAN has partnered with Muskan Travels to run the service.
Four Routes Announced (Buses depart from TU Gate):
- Route 1: TU Gate → Swayambhu → Balaju
- Route 2: TU Gate → Swayambhu → Balaju → Maharajgunj
- Route 3: TU Gate → Balkhu → Kalimati → Thapathali → Baneshwar → Tinkune → Gaushala → Chabahil
- Route 4: TU Gate → Balkhu → Sanepa → Ekantakuna → Satdobato → Koteshwar
The second edition of the NPL will run until Mangsir 27, featuring eight participating teams: Karnali Yaks, Sudurpaschim Royals, Pokhara Avengers, Janakpur Bolts, Kathmandu Gorkhas, Chitwan Rhinos, Biratnagar Kings, and Lumbini Lions. Each team will compete in a single round-robin league format.
