The body of 47-year-old Bombahadur Khatri of Bagaha, Musikot Municipality-1 (Paudi Amarai), who had been missing for a week, has been recovered by the Armed Police Force.
Locals spotted the body stuck on a cliff and informed the police. Due to the steep terrain and the presence of the Badigad River, recovering the body was difficult. A team from APF Gulm No. 37, led by DSP Sudip Prasai, reached the site on Saturday and extracted the body after about one hour of effort.
Khatri, who lived alone, had gone missing since Kartik 28. Identification was made based on his clothing, according to District Police Office Gulmi spokesperson DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru.
The body is being taken to Gulmi Hospital for postmortem.
