The Supreme Court has directed Prime Minister Sushila Karki to provide a written response explaining why she should not be penalized for contempt of court.
Advocate Dr. Premraj Silwal had filed a petition seeking contempt proceedings against the Prime Minister for failing to comply with the court’s order regarding the recall of ambassadors.
Following the hearing of the petition, the bench comprising Justices Hari Phuyal and Abdul Aziz Musalman issued the order requesting a written explanation from the Prime Minister.
