The Jayaprithvi Highway has reopened after 13 hours of closure. A landslide at Bhanjyang in Surmaya Rural Municipality–7, Baitadi, had blocked the Khodpe–Bajhang section of the road.
According to Baitadi Police Inspector Balram Pandey, the debris was cleared with the help of a JCB, allowing traffic to resume a short while ago. Continuous rainfall had delayed the clearance work. With the reopening, stranded passengers have now continued toward their respective destinations.
