The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal is set to begin its protest programs from today. According to party publicity department chief Purna Basnet, the party’s central executive committee meeting decided to make public its key demands and national issues and announce protest programs. As per the decision, the party will submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister through district administration offices on Wednesday.
JSP Nepal will conduct protest programs and corner meetings in various towns within each parliamentary constituency from Mangsir 11 to 15 as part of a public awareness campaign. Similarly, the party will organize peaceful sit-in demonstrations with placards and banners highlighting its demands and issues in front of district administration offices across district headquarters on Mangsir 19 and 21. The party has also announced district-level protest assemblies or mass gatherings from Mangsir 27 to Poush 4.
Under JSP Nepal’s province-level demonstrations and protest gatherings, programs have been scheduled in Biratnagar on Poush 12, Janakpur on Poush 14, Birgunj on Poush 15, and Bhairahawa on Poush 17. In addition, Basnet stated that other protest programs may be decided by the party’s district or provincial committees.
