The CPN-UML has decided to hold the opening session of its 11th General Convention at the open ground in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s publicity department, the opening event scheduled for Mangsir 27 will take place in Sallaghari after determining that Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu would not have enough space.
The closed session of the General Convention, however, will be held at Bhrikutimandap. The decision was made during Wednesday’s meeting of the UML General Convention Secretariat Committee, led by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.
The meeting has also finalized the main slogan for the convention: “Commitment to Building a Decisive National Power: Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali Is Our Destination.”
