The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reopened labor and visit visas for Nepali citizens after previously imposing restrictions following the Gen-Z movement. With the resumption of visa services, a police report has now been made mandatory for Nepalis traveling to the UAE.
The UAE had suspended visas for Nepalis after the incident on Bhadra 24, when inmates escaped from prison during the Gen-Z demonstrations. Citing security concerns due to the large number of prisoners who fled, the UAE had blocked both visit and labor visas for Nepali nationals.
