Nepal Rastra Bank is bringing new 100-rupee banknotes into circulation starting today. The central bank issued a notice stating that the new notes will have the same size and color as the existing ones.
The new banknotes feature an image of Mount Everest on the left side of the front, a watermark of the rhododendron on the right side, and a map of Nepal in the center.
The notes also bear the signature of former Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari. According to the bank, the new notes are designed to be visually impaired-friendly, allowing individuals with visual difficulties to identify them by touch.
