An inmate who escaped from the Tulshipur Jail in Dang has been found dead in Nepalgunj.
Devaraj Devkota, who had fled the Tulshipur Prison on August 24 during the Gen-Z protests, was discovered dead at the Rukumeli Hotel in Nepalgunj.
According to police, Devkota, a resident of Hemantpur, Tulshipur-18, was in pre-trial detention on a drug-related case. He had escaped from the prison during the Gen-Z movement on August 24.
Police reported that he was found dead with foam around his mouth. His body has been kept at a nursing home in Nepalgunj. A post-mortem will be conducted today at Bheri Hospital.
