Prabhu Bank Limited has appointed senior employee Niraj Lamsal as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The bank’s Board of Directors made the decision after the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police took the bank’s CEO and two other employees into custody for investigation.
According to an official statement issued by the bank’s Information Officer Rabindra Dhakal, Lamsal assumed his responsibilities as Acting CEO starting Sunday.
The bank clarified that the leadership change and the ongoing investigation will not affect its regular services. It assured customers, depositors, shareholders, and stakeholders that all banking services across its branch network will continue smoothly and without interruption.
Prabhu Bank also expressed confidence that the investigation will not negatively impact the institution’s day-to-day operations, financial governance, or customer interests. Additionally, the bank has requested its customers and stakeholders to continue extending their support and goodwill as usual.
